Zoning Information

The Bryant School Board approved the recommendation of the rezoning committee on January 16, 2006.  Click on the links to the left to view the new attendance zones.  The middle school zones will be put into place in the fall of 2006.  The new elementary zones will be put into place with the opening of the new elementary school in the fall of 2007. 

Approved Middle School Plan


Advantages:

Decreases the number of buses crossing I30 for middle school.
Clear middle school boundaries
Numbers in each middle school better match capacity of the buildings.
Less transportation cost for the district
Follow existing geographic features such as highways, etc.

 


Disadvantages:
Separate students who went to elementary school together.

Advantages

Students will be together from K-8
Keep most communities in the same zone
Allow for projected growth
Will be able to put feeder schools into the middle schools.
Keep students close to home
Follow existing geographic features such as highways, etc.

 

Disadvantages

District-wide, more students will be affected.
Divide students that have been together.
